Crysencio Summerville has joined Al Hilal from West Ham in a €70m transfer.

The London club were relegated to the Championship last season. The 24-year-old Netherlands winger has signed a four-year deal. According to The Athletic, the move was first mooted at about €80m, but the final sum is lower.

The international, capped six times, enjoyed a strong World Cup personally, scoring two goals and supplying two assists.

Roma showed interest with a €46m bid, but could not match Al Hilal’s power.

Al Hilal finished second in last season’s Saudi league and include Karim Benzema, Yassine Bounou and Théo Hernandez in their squad.

Summerville departs after two seasons in London, making 56 appearances and scoring 8 goals.
