Crystal Palace have begun talks with Tottenham over a possible deal for Manor Solomon.

The Eagles remain in the market for an attacking player on Deadline Day, and are working to close the deal to sign Christantus Uche from Getafe.

Solomon has trained with Tottenham all summer following his return from a successful loan spell with Leeds in the Championship last season, and was named in the matchday squad on Saturday for the home loss to Bournemouth.

Solomon wants regular first-team football and Tottenham manager Thomas Frank is prepared to sanction an exit as long as it does not leave the squad short of attacking numbers.

Standard Sport understands that Palace have now made contact over a potential move for Solomon, who could be allowed to leave with Spurs set to sign Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

Leeds explored re-signing Solomon earlier in the window, but interest went cold once Noah Okafor joined from AC Milan.

Solomon impressed at Elland Road, producing 22 goal involvements as Leeds won the Championship title and secured a return to the Premier League.

It remains possible that Solomon stays at Spurs beyond the deadline, but his representatives are working to find a route to regular game time for the Israeli.

Palace have registered their interest as they look to improve squad depth ahead of their historic maiden campaign in Europe.

Another player who could leave Spurs before the transfer deadline is Bryan Gil, who has reportedly been the subject of a bid from La Liga side Girona.

The Spanish transfer window does not close until 11pm BST.
