Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Evann Guessand on a season-long loan from Aston Villa, with an option to buy.
The Ivory Coast international spent the second half of last season at Selhurst Park, making 14 appearances and scoring twice.
He becomes Palace’s fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Óscar Mingueza, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Dwight McNeil.
Palace chairman Steve Parish is delighted to have the forward back at the club.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome Evann back to Crystal Palace, after he gave us all a glimpse of his undoubted talent last season,” Parish said.
“We believe he can help us to deliver similar success this year, as we look forward to another exciting season for the club.”
Guessand is equally pleased to be back at Selhurst Park.
“I’m so happy to be here,” he said.
“I already have good memories here – but I think it’s only the beginning. I hope many more are coming.”
Palace are hoping to complete several more signings this summer to boost new boss Pierre Sage’s squad.
The Eagles are confident of completing a deal to bring in Union Saint-Gilloise right-sided player Anan Khalaili.
They are also keen on Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara and Torino winger Alieu Njie, while Brighton winger Solly March has also been considered as an option.
