Crystal Palace are keen on Bayern Munich’s Sacha Boey in their quest to add more depth at right-back, according to the Evening Standard.
Palace are expected to be busy in the upcoming transfer window after a relatively quiet summer that frustrated manager Oliver Glasner.
The Eagles are currently fifth in the Premier League table and have also reached the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Their search for a new right-back is unsurprising considering Daniel Munoz’s recent injury struggles. Back-up option Nathaniel Clyne is set to leave Selhurst Park next summer.
Boey joined Bayern in January 2024, but has struggled to nail down a place in the team.
The Frenchman has started just five league games this term, with his last appearance coming at the start of November.
Despite being contracted to his current employers until 2028, Boey has been linked away from the Allianz Arena at the next available opportunity.
Having conducted business for Michael Olise last summer, Palace and Bayern could be back at the negotiation table in the near future.
Glasner will be hoping to capitalise on his relationship with Bayern’s sporting director Christoph Freund, whom he worked with at RB Salzburg.
In the meantime, the Austrian is focused on leading his side to maximum points in tomorrow’s Europa Conference League clash against Finnish outfit KuPS.
