Crystal Palace are monitoring Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Hwang Hee-chan (h/t journalist Ben Jacobs).
Palace are weighing up a season-long loan move for the 29-year-old, who has endured a frustrating spell at Wolves.
‘The Bull‘ initially joined Wolves from RB Leipzig on loan in 2021 before making the switch permanent a year later.
After hitting 12 Premier League goals in 2023/24, injuries disrupted his progress last season, restricting him to just two goals in 21 appearances.
He started only five of those games, with the arrival of Jorgen Strand Larsen pushing him down the pecking order.
With the 2026 World Cup on the horizon, Hwang wants regular football, which he could get under Palace manager Oliver Glasner.
Although there has been reported interest from France and the Championship, he wants to remain in the Premier League.
His pace and versatility across the forward line would be a valuable asset to Palace, who are short of attacking options.
Eddie Nketiah’s pre-season injury left Jean-Philippe Mateta as the only senior striker.
Palace are also pursuing Leicester’s Bilal El Khannouss and Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis. Only Borna Sosa and Walter Benitez have arrived at Palace this summer.
Palace lost respected transfer chief Dougie Freedman, who left for Saudi Arabia in March. That may explain the sluggishness of their window.
However, Palace have found a replacement for Freedman. Former Wolves sporting director Matt Hobbs is in talks to join the club.
