Crystal Palace have been informed about the price tag of Torino attacker Alieu Njie, whom the Eagles have seen an offer for rejected.

The Eagles have been slow doing business in the ongoing transfer window, but have acquired Oscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu this summer to hand Pierre Sage more options.

Crystal Palace are looking to pick up the pace to make further additions to the team and support new manager Sage for the upcoming season.

Further attacking options are on the agenda at Selhurst Park and Palace have been looking at Serie A for an option.

Torino attacker Njie is the player that Crystal Palace want and they have already seen a €10m bid rejected by the Italian club.

Now, it has been suggested that Torino have slapped a €18m price tag on Njie’s head if a permanent sale is to be made, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.

Crystal Palace offered €2m for a loan deal with an option to buy included in the contract, which would turn into an obligation if all criteria were met, and come in at €10m.

Njie arrived at Torino’s youth system from Swedish side Forssa BK, and after progressing through the programme, has established himself as a first-team regular.

In the recent campaign, the 21-year-old amassed only 289 minutes in Serie A across 15 matches and contributed to two goals.

Crystal Palace have been looking in the transfer market to strengthen their attack, and the club are ‘discussing a potential swap deal’ with Everton involving Dwight McNeil and Brennan Johnson.

Besides that, the Eagles under new manager Sage will also be under pressure to manage the squad due to the added pressure of playing in the Europa League next season.

Njie still has three years left on his current deal, with an option for a further year, and Torino have made clear they want €18m to let him go.

Now all eyes will be on Crystal Palace to see if they come in with an improvised bid for Njie after learning Torino’s demands.
