One of Wolves' longest-serving players is looking to leave the club on transfer deadline day.

Wolves are prepared to let one of their longest-standing players leave on transfer deadline day as Cesar Peixoto shores up his squad for the rest of the Championship season.

Joao Gomes, Matt Doherty and Ki-Jana Hoever have been among the permanent departures at Molineux, while Tolu Arokodare has departed on loan.

However, it appears the time is nigh for one man who wants out, and he is not short of options as talks with a quartet of clubs have been revealed.

After four years at Molineux, Hwang Hee-chan finally looks set for the exit door ahead of tonight's transfer deadline.

The forward signed for the club from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2024 and has scored 27 goals and assisted 12 times in 150 appearances.

However, the South Korea international has not played a single minute since Cesar Peixoto arrived as manager, with his last appearance the final-day draw with Burnley last season.

Now, it has been reported that the 30-year-old is looking at a deadline day move and is not part of Peixoto's plans, according to TEAMtalk's Graeme Bailey.

Bailey adds that Crystal Palace, Leeds United, Hull City and Burnley have all been spoken to, while Ipswich Town considered a deal but pursued Zian Flemming instead.

It has been a mixed stint in the Black Country for Hwang, but when analysing Peixoto's squad, now certainly feels the right time for Hwang to leave.

The South Korean enjoyed an encouraging start to his Wolves career, scoring five times in his debut season, where he started primarily as a left-winger.

An incredibly versatile option, he played across the front three and shone during the 2023/24 campaign, scoring 12 Premier League goals — a joint career high for the player.

However, Hwang has since fallen out of favour and with Raul Jimenez, Adam Armstrong and Mateus Mane for company, it was always going to be tough for him to get minutes.
