Leeds United want to add Jorgen Strand Larsen to their attack this month as they look to strengthen. According to Sky Sports, Crystal Palace have shown interest in Joel Piroe.
Reducing Daniel Farke’s options is not on the agenda after Jack Harrison left for Fiorentina. Leeds expect outgoings at the end of the season to satisfy PSR if they land Strand Larsen, but January sales are not required unless a suitable offer arrives.
Piroe has slipped down the pecking order following promotion to the Premier League. He has given no indication he wants to leave and appears ready to fight for his place.
The Dutchman has played only 203 minutes of Premier League football this season. Any move for Strand Larsen is unlikely to boost that game time.
That stance could be tested if Palace turn interest into a bid. Jean-Philippe Mateta has told the club he wants to go this month, and they would need a replacement if he does. Piroe could be a short-term solution until the summer, and Palace have also looked at Strand Larsen, which could hinder Leeds’ pursuit.
