Crystal Palace have signed French Stuttgart midfielder Naouirou Ahamada (20) in a €10m deal, according to a report from L’Equipe. The Marseille-born player joined the German outfit from the Juventus academy eighteen months ago on a four-year deal. Ahamada has played in seventeen Bundesliga games with Die Roten this season, scoring two goals and registering two assists. His last game with Stuttgart was a 2-2 draw against TSG Hoffenheim where the Frenchman managed his two assists before being sent off for two back-to-back yellow cards inside five minutes.
The 20-year-old is a versatile and energetic holding midfielder, able to play in front of the defense as well, and would be Crystal Palace’s first signing of the winter transfer window. As a promising, energetic midfielder, Ahamada should learn a great deal from Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira. L’Equipe add that the 1998 World Cup winner played a key role in his arrival. Meanwhile, Get French Football News have learned that Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga was set to undergo a medical ahead of a loan move to Crystal Palace.
