Solly March has been loosely linked with Crystal Palace as he looks for a Premier League club after leaving Brighton at the end of last season.
BBC reported that Palace are contemplating a move for March, 32, after he was recommended to the club, with a potential deal said to have been discussed internally.
March has been training at Brighton’s Lancing facilities since his release and has turned down overseas interest because he believes he can still perform in the Premier League. He also spent time with Palace as a schoolboy.
“I still want to play in the Premier League. I definitely think I can do that so maybe I've got to be patient. I don't know.
“But it's difficult. You get itchy feet. You're at home alone, training on your own. It's a strange, weird one.” He was speaking to talkSPORT.
There is precedent for a cross-divide move, with former Brighton striker Glenn Murray joining Palace in 2011, later returning to help Albion reach the Premier League and ultimately earning affection from both sets of supporters.
