Eddie Nketiah will miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has said. According to NY Times, it is the forward’s fourth such setback of the campaign.

The 26-year-old has not featured since Palace’s 1-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on 28 December. In February, Glasner had suggested an April return, but before the 3-0 Conference League win over Fiorentina he suffered another hamstring issue in training and was left out.

After Thursday’s quarter-final, Glasner said the latest diagnosis ended Nketiah’s campaign. He added that the club doctor informed him on Wednesday evening, calling at about nine while he was watching the Champions League.

Nketiah has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring four and assisting one. He has missed 30 matches during 2025-26 because of four separate hamstring problems.

He is contracted to Palace until 2029, having signed a five-year deal in 2024 after joining from Arsenal. Last season he played 37 times, with seven goals and three assists, and came on as a substitute in their FA Cup final win over Manchester City.

Glasner also reported knocks to Evann Guessand and Jean-Philippe Mateta ahead of Sunday’s Premier League home match against Newcastle United. Guessand went off on 66 minutes and Mateta, who converted a first-half penalty, departed in the 84th.

He said Guessand’s knee would be assessed and that they would monitor how Mateta’s knee reacts, while Jorgen Strand Larsen and Uche are due back to bolster options. Cheick Doucoure remains unavailable, having only played for the Under-21s last month after a 14-month meniscus lay-off.
