Dahl joins Premier League side as Benfica pursue Palhinha | OneFootball

Hull City have signed Jens Hjerto-Dahl from Tromsø in a deal worth €10m to the Norwegian club, taking the 20-year-old, 1.94m midfielder to the Premier League.

The Norwegian had been linked with Benfica and Sporting, but chose England to continue his career. Benfica now have their sights on João Palhinha. Maisfutebol reports that Rui Costa and Bayern president Herbert Hainer have discussed a possible season-long loan with an obligation to buy for a little over €15m.

Last season in Norway, Hjerto-Dahl started 14 league matches for Tromsø, scoring seven and providing two assists.

Benfica intend to move for the midfielder and are expected to lodge a formal offer with Bayern. Marco Silva is counting on the Portugal international to add strength to the squad.

Even so, the operation is not straightforward. With less than a month before the window closes, Benfica know agreement with Bayern will require patience, given the German club’s demands. Palhinha is 31.
