Security at the Dallas stadium has been questioned after claims that some England fans got in without tickets before their 4-2 win over Croatia in their opening match at the 2026 World Cup.
Daily Mail Sport reports that groups bypassed ticket and security checks, with volunteer staff doing little to intervene. The lapses may have enabled at least hundreds to attend.
One supporter described scanning his ticket with no checks on his flag or trophy, while others slipped through or vaulted barriers.
Paying fans had spent up to 600 euros for seats, with resale prices even higher. Organisers had promoted robust security for the tournament and police said snipers were deployed inside the stadium.
FIFA has not commented, stating that for now there is no sign supporters entered without valid tickets. Police have echoed that position.
