The matches have come thick and fast over the festive period and New Year for Leeds United in the Premier League, with attention now turning to Emirates FA Cup duties on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the clash with Sky Bet Championship side Derby County at Pride Park, Whites’ boss Daniel Farke gave an update on the availability of his squad during the busy schedule, providing an update firstly on whether Jayden Bogle would feature against his former club.
“If it is risky, I wouldn’t do this so I think it will be more or less the same group of players available like for the last game,” the boss told the media at Thorp Arch.
“So Joe [Rodon] no setback during the game, of course he was a bit tired in the end of the game anyhow but no injuries.
“The only one who was struggling today a little bit was Sam Byram with some back problems, perhaps a bit more to do with the travelling lots of travelling anyhow.
“Since more or less three weeks, we have not a day off anyhow so the players are have tough days at the moment, so there are little question marks but I hope to have them also available for this game.
“Of course, a few players played many, many minutes in the last couple of weeks, and with them we will be a bit more careful and we will assess them a bit more if they are really capable to play more minutes.
“We will see and make some late decisions, but I expect more or less the same group of players available.
“No decision yet who will travel with us and who will be involved, could be that perhaps a few of the younger lads who are not that much in the spotlight in the recent weeks, if we have got the feeling they have earned their place in Under-21 games or also in training sessions with us, could be that they travel with us.
“What I can confirm already, like we have also done in the earlier years in cup competition, that definitely we will rotate in the goalkeeper position and Karl Darlow will play in goal.”
