Daniel Farke has ruled out Willy Gnonto and Gabi Gudmundsson for Leeds United’s Premier League opener at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, adding that everyone else is currently available.

As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Gudmundsson sustained a muscular problem in the pre-season win over Liverpool in America and was initially facing around four weeks out, leaving him doubtful for the first two league games.

Gnonto missed the Augsburg friendly after a hamstring issue in the midweek draw with Manchester United in Dublin, and while Leeds have avoided putting a timeframe on his return, they hope he can rejoin training soon.

Noah Okafor, given an extended break after Switzerland reached the World Cup quarter-finals, made his first minutes of the summer against Manchester United then featured from the bench versus Augsburg. Farke said he is healthy and available after nearly two weeks of training, is progressing with extra running, and late selection calls could follow.

Ilia Gruev and Lucas Perri also sat out the Augsburg game, with Gruev yet to play since a meniscus injury in April. Perri is set to join Torino, a minor injury having delayed the move.
