Manchester United are reportedly one of the clubs interested in signing Crystal Palace star Daniel Munoz, who is attracting interest from some of the continent’s biggest teams.

Munoz’s United dream

Munoz has emerged as one of the best full-backs in England since joining Crystal Palace from Genk in 2024.

His performances, marked by a compelling mix of defensive aggression and impressive attacking output, have garnered significant attention. In 14 Premier League appearances this term, Munoz has notched three goals and two assists.

Last month, he publicly revealed that he harbours ambitions of playing for a big club in future, naming United as one of three preferred transfer destinations alongside Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

What made Munoz’s comments particularly intriguing is that United are believed to be actively seeking a right-wing-back, either in January or in the summer.

A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Palace value him at €40 million.

Now, a new report has claimed that United are keeping an eye on Munoz, but they’re not the only ones, with Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City also admirers of the player.

La Liga giants Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are two other parties pursuing the Colombian.

Munoz transfer update

According to CaughtOffside, Pep Guardiola is an admirer of Munoz’s athleticism, pressing intensity, and overlapping runs. The Spanish coach believes these attributes would make the Palace man an instant hit at the Etihad.

City have been monitoring Munoz for months now and have compiled extensive reports as they weigh up an offer for him.

CaughtOffside add, “Elsewhere, Chelsea and Manchester United are also monitoring Muñoz’s development.”

“Liverpool have joined the race, viewing Muñoz as a versatile defensive option who could offer depth and competition to Jeremie Frimpong, their summer recruit.”

“On the European stage, Barcelona and Atlético Madrid are also following developments closely.”

However, as interest in Munoz mounts, Palace have made it crystal clear that he will not be allowed to leave in January. He is considered a valuable squad member.

Palace are said to be confident that they will keep the 29-year-old at least until the summer.
