Inter wing-back Danilo D’Ambrosio is awaiting news from the club on a possible contract renewal, according to an Italian media report today.
As per FCInter1908.it, D’Ambrosio feels he still has a lot to give the Nerazzurri and while the club have held talks with his agent in the past, there is still no agreement over a new deal.
The 32-year-old’s current contract expires at the end of the season, meaning he is now eligible to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with another Serie A club of his choosing.
D’Ambrosio and his representatives do not want to put pressure on Inter at the moment, with both well aware of the club’s delicate financial situation, but time is clearly running out.
The report goes on to explain that a contract renewal would nullify the interest of other clubs in Serie A, with D’Ambrosio still giving priority to a stay in Milan, but that his representatives may have to listen to other offers in the coming weeks if things do not change.
D’Ambrosio has made 225 appearances in all competitions for Inter since signing from Torino in 2014, scoring 20 goals and providing 17 assists.
