I think it’s not about the defensive system. The defensive system really isn’t something that defends on its own. I think it’s a matter of the whole team’s behavior, the way we move on the pitch, the way we position ourselves, cut passing lanes and, above all, press the opponent. I think Flamengo’s essence is to press opponents, whether in possession or out of possession. That’s something we lost a bit during this World Cup period, the breaks. So I think we have to get back to our roots. An important thing to do is to become a pressing team again. That’s what Flamengo is, that’s what Flamengo has always done in moments of victory and glory. We have to get back to that foundation.

The coach has his analysis, and we will always move in the direction of what the coach thinks, obviously. And since he arrived, the coach has been increasingly trying to implement his ideas, and we as a group have been accepting them, dedicating ourselves, making ourselves available to improve and, as soon as possible, do what the coach asks in a way that is more, let’s say, not flawless, but as close to that as possible.

Look, I mentioned the time when we all stayed apart, let’s say, with the groups of players separated, but that cannot be an excuse for the results we’ve been getting and the way we’ve been playing, let that be clear. But now comes the best part of the season. As I said, we have to look at it positively because it is the best part. These are the matches that Flamengo and Flamengo’s fans look forward to anxiously, and we will undoubtedly be ready for the challenges and the decisive moments because, as I said, this is the best part of the season.
