Danjuma and Thierry in frame for Valencia’s La Cerámica trip

Valencia are preparing at Paterna for Sunday’s visit to Villarreal at La Cerámica, with Carlos Corberán potentially welcoming back Danjuma and Thierry Correia.

According to AS, both have trained normally with the group and could make the squad if there are no late setbacks. Diego López and Julen Agirrezabala will not be included.

The game carries extra meaning for Danjuma, a return to his former home where he did not manage to make his mark. He missed last Sunday’s derby against Levante with a psoas problem, now resolved.

Thierry’s return would be significant for Corberán, who has had to improvise at right-back in the past two matches by using Unai Núñez in that role.

Valencia train again tomorrow morning, then on Sunday travel by road to Villarreal for a 21:00 kick-off.
