Strasbourg are poised to sign Deivid Washington from Chelsea, with Omari Kellyman and Dario Essugo also in the frame to strengthen Hugo Oliveira’s squad.

On Friday the club confirmed Karim Coulibaly for €20m, taking summer outlay to €70m after €170m in sales. According to the BBC, Chelsea still have a final loan slot with their French partner, which could be filled by defensive midfielder Dario Essugo.

The 21-year-old Brazilian should sign in the coming hours. The move is agreed, though his arrival was delayed by his wife giving birth. The fee is expected to be around €10m, excluding bonuses.

Kellyman, 20, could follow next week. An agreement is close with the Blues for a permanent deal that includes a buy-back clause.

Chelsea have already approved loans for Genesis Antwi and Filip Jörgensen. Essugo, 21, joined last summer from Sporting CP for €22m and has played only 26 Premier League minutes in 2025-2026. His profile is viewed as a better fit for Oliveira than Mykhaïlo Mudryk, who is not inclined to move to Strasbourg.
