Daryl Bakola could leave Marseille this summer | OneFootball

According to a report by La Provence, Darryl Bakola (16) could be heading for a surprising departure away from Olympique de Marseille. The young midfielder only has one year left on his contract and has yet to sign an extension with the club despite the organisation putting pressure on the teenager for an answer.

Bakola alongside Enzo Sternal (17) is considered one of the best talents within the Marseille youth system, and the two players who look most ready from the successful Marseille U17s to make the step up into the professional setup.

However, Bakola is thought to be concerned by Marseille’s transfer business which has seen his position reinforced heavily with the arrivals of Ismaël Koné (22) and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg (29). There is reportedly a fear from him and his entourage that the pathway into the first team has been blocked.

La Provence writes that Marseille suspect Bakola’s head has been turned and that there is already an agreement between him and his future club, a situation which could allow for the midfielder to be sold for a small fee before the end of August.
