After months of rumours and gossip, the Bradley Barcola to Liverpool saga could be coming to an end soon.
The Reds initially made a move for the 23-year-old last summer, but instead focused on the move for £125m signing Alexander Isak.
But Liverpool have returned this summer, and are pursuing a move expected to cost more than £100m.
And now, David Ornstein has provided a crucial update as Liverpool head into crunch talks for the forward.
Speaking on X, he said: “Liverpool holding key talks with Paris Saint-Germain today in bid to bring clarity on propsed Bradley Barcola transfer.”
“Important meeting to establish direction of travel on potential move, with the 23-year-old PSG winger committed to joining #LFC.”
It has been well reported that personal terms have already been agreed between Liverpool and Barcola, and Ornstein’s update reinforces that.
With just seven days remaining in the transfer window, progress is desperately needed to avoid a nervy situation closer to deadline day.
With PSG signing three forwards in Maghnes Akliouche, Mika Godts and Ferran Torres, the door seems wide open for a deal to be completed. This now just feels part of PSG’s dance to obtain the biggest fee possible from Liverpool…
