David Raum nominated for Player of the Month | OneFootball

The new 2025/26 Bundesliga season sees fans voting for their Player of the Month once again and our captain David Raum is up for September's award from the DFL, following his nomination.

"We are in a period of upheaval and want to see more players shouldering responsibility. David was destined to take on this role," explained our head coach Ole Werner ahead of the campaign when he opted to select the left-back as club captain.

David has repaid this faith to some aplomb over the course of the past month, both on and off the pitch.

Ever-present Raum at the heart of the action

Raumi is yet to miss a single minute of football in the current campaign, while forming a crucial component in the Red Bulls' attacking play. David set up 10 shots in September, which was the second-most of any player in the Bundesliga. His eight successful crosses from open play also marked the division's fifth-highest tally during the month. He also demonstrated his prowess in dead-ball situations in the 3-1 win over a Köln team who began proceedings impressively.

David Raum has therefore played a key role in our impressive upturn in form during September, making him a deserving candidate for the Player of the Month award.
