David Soria starts again for Getafe against Osasuna at 19:30 at El Sadar, and this one is historic. The 33-year-old makes his 193rd consecutive LaLiga start, surpassing Juan Antonio Larrañaga of Real Sociedad for the longest streak in the competition.

According to Superdeporte, Soria is into his ninth season with Getafe after joining from Sevilla in summer 2018.

His last outing as a substitute came in May 2021, since when he has held the gloves at the Coliseum. The run began at Mestalla in August 2021 in a 1-0 defeat to Valencia, settled by a Carlos Soler penalty.

At the start of 2026/27 he has made LaLiga history and appears to be eyeing further milestones. He already ranks fourth for Getafe appearances, behind Angelín, Caballero and current captain Dakonam Djené.

Last week he became the second goalkeeper with the most LaLiga penalties saved after saving a penalty from Andrés Martín. His tally stands at 13, with only former Valencia keeper Diego Alves ahead of him.
