Jonathan David cannot stop scoring, whether he is playing for club or country, and his goal made the difference for Canada during their match against Chile yesterday.
The striker moved to Juventus in the summer of 2025, and the Bianconeri were certain that they had secured the signature of one of the top players in the Europe.
However, the move turned out to be unsuccessful in his first season, and he was sent out on loan to Atletico Madrid, where he appears to have rediscovered his best form.
The Spanish side holds a €25 million option to make the move permanent, and on his current form, that amount could prove to be a valuable deal for them.
Football Italia reports that David has now scored in four consecutive games, something he never managed to do at Juventus, after scoring just six goals in 35 Serie A matches last season.
David is proving in Spain and on the international stage that he is one of the finest strikers in the game. His performances have improved significantly since leaving Turin, while his goalscoring form has continued for Canada.
His latest goal for his country further underlined his current form, as he found the net against Chile and helped Canada secure an important result. The striker has continued to produce goals at both club and international level.

The Bianconeri will be encouraged by David’s current form because it could strengthen the possibility of securing a permanent sale next summer. Atletico Madrid already has an option to make his move permanent, and his performances could make that possibility more attractive.
Juventus will therefore continue to follow his progress while David focuses on maintaining his form with Atletico Madrid and Canada. His performances in Spain and on the international stage have given him an opportunity to rebuild his reputation after a difficult first season in Turin.
