With Bruno Genesio’s future as LOSC Lille manager looking increasingly uncertain, the northern club’s board is already working to find a potential successor. Among the candidates favoured by Olivier Létang, the president of Les Dogues, is reportedly Davide Ancelotti, according to RMC Sport.

Having served as assistant to his father, Carlo Ancelotti, at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton and Real Madrid, the Italian is now his right-hand man on the bench for the Brazilian national team.

An impressive CV for the 36-year-old coach, to whom Botafogo decided to hand the reins of their team in 2025, offering him his first experience as a head coach. At the helm of the Fogo, the Parma-born coach oversaw 33 Brazilian Serie A matches, recording 15 wins, 10 draws and eight defeats.

But Ancelotti is not the only candidate being considered by LOSC. Thiago Motta, who has been out of work since his dismissal from Juventus in March 2025, is also said to be a contender.
