Davies hoping for another Birmingham City signing shortly

Birmingham City boss Chris Davies has revealed the club are hoping to make two or three more signings before the transfer window closes, while also expecting some players to leave in search of regular first-team football.

The Blues take on Sheffield United in the opening game of the Championship season.

And speaking ahead of that clash, Davies said on the transfer window: “We’re hoping to finish off these next two-and-a-half weeks with two or three players coming to us, maybe two or three will look to move on if we can’t guarantee the game time they would like.

“Hopefully in the next day or so we can add in an area, then we’re just looking for the right piece or two to give us a push.”
