Davies successor? Bayern set their sights on Bundesliga star

The future of Alphonso Davies is causing new brainstorming at FC Bayern – internally it seems that they are already looking at possible alternatives, including a candidate from the Bundesliga.

Although Davies is still under contract in Munich until 2030, there have recently been increasing reports that the left-back is no longer considered unsellable. Following injury problems and fluctuations in form, his sporting situation has changed and a sale could also generate high revenues. Real Madrid in particular have been considered a hot prospect in the past.

Of course, a suitable offer for Davies would first have to be on the table and the player himself would have to agree to a transfer, but one thing is clear: just in case, the record champions are already examining the market and are specifically looking at players who fit the requirement profile – also within the Bundesliga.

Will Bayern make a move for Frankfurt’s Brown?

The focus is apparently also on Frankfurt, where Nathaniel Brown, an exciting talent, has come to the fore. As Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg reports, Brown could be of interest to FC Bayern in the event of Davies‘ departure.

The 21-year-old is regarded as a dynamic left-back with great development potential. He is also a German international and is likely to travel to the World Cup this summer.

Another interesting aspect for Bayern: Brown has also played on the right flank under Frankfurt coach Albert Riera – a flexibility that Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic, who play important roles under Kompany, also possess.

All in all, a profile that would suit FC Bayern well, which is why they are obviously keeping a close eye on Brown’s development. A move within the Bundesliga would have clear advantages: Brown knows the league, would not have to acclimatize for long and could be built up in perspective – possibly initially as a challenger and in the long term as a permanent fixture on the left side of defence.

Whether a transfer actually takes place depends largely on the future of Davies. Should the Canadian actually leave the club in the summer, Bayern could act quickly and sign Brown as a promising solution from the Bundesliga.
