De Wit snatches stoppage-time winner as Utrecht climb to 13th

Utrecht edged Excelsior 2-1 at Stadion Woudestein as Dani de Wit struck in second half stoppage time, lifting the visitors from 17th to 13th in the Eredivisie.
Adrian Blake hit the post early on. In the 36th minute, Artem Stepanov finished from close range to put Utrecht ahead.
After a triple change just past the hour, Excelsior built pressure and Aymen Sliti levelled from a tight angle (77.), teed up by Ágúst Þorsteinsson.
Five minutes were indicated at the end, and de Wit settled it in the second minute of second half stoppage time with a low finish.
Utrecht registered 12 attempts, finding the target six times. Excelsior saw 55.6% of the ball but struggled to turn 24 crosses into clear chances.
Next up, Excelsior visit Ajax. Utrecht go to Feyenoord.
