The transfer is now a done deal: FC Bayern has reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign Nathaniel Brown. The German national team player is signing a long-term contract in Munich.
FC Bayern has finalized its next major transfer of the summer. As reported by Sky, the Munich club and Eintracht Frankfurt have now fully agreed on a transfer for Nathaniel Brown. After the left back had already agreed to the personal terms of his contract with the record champions some time ago, the two clubs have now also reached an agreement.
According to the report, the total deal is worth around 55 million euros. Brown will receive a contract with FC Bayern running through the summer of 2031, thereby tying him to the German record champions for the long term.
The transfer had dragged on for weeks. Most recently, the structure of the transfer fee was seen as the main sticking point. While Frankfurt pushed for the highest possible guaranteed amount, Bayern wanted to structure part of the sum as bonus payments.
In the meantime, several Premier League clubs had also tried to enter the fray. Among others, Arsenal and Chelsea expressed interest in the player.
Brown, however, remained unfazed. According to Sky, the 22-year-old wanted to join FC Bayern exclusively and did not consider any other options.
With the final agreement, the Munich club has now secured the transfer once and for all and prevailed against all competition. Other clubs could still have jeopardized the deal in recent days, but Brown remained steadfast in his desire to make the move.

On the field, Vincent Kompany gains in Brown a versatile left-back who recently drew attention with strong performances at the World Cup. The German national team player impressed in both the 7-1 win over Curaçao and the 2-1 victory over the Ivory Coast, underscoring why FC Bayern was willing to dig deep into its pockets.
Following Ismael Saibari, Brown is thus the next high-profile signing for the German record champions. The Munich club’s squad planning continues to take shape.
