Decisive figure breaks deadlock to lift Ajax at PEC Zwolle | OneFootball

Jorthy Mokio changed it in the 76th minute with a left-footed finish into the top left corner, setting Ajax on their way to a 2-0 win at PEC Zwolle.

Arriving between the centre-backs, Mokio swept in from Tolu Arokodare's lay-off (76.), timing his run to exploit the gap as Zwolle retreated. The strike shifted control and forced the hosts to chase.

He threatened again soon after, pulling a left-footer over from outside the box (83.). By then his penalty-box movement had dragged defenders around and kept Godenzonen high up the pitch.

The 18-year-old ended with four attempts, four touches in the box and five recoveries, plus 16 accurate passes from 20. The blend of penalty-area threat and off-ball work underlined how he tilted territory in Ajax's favour.
