Shola Shoretire opened the scoring in the seventh minute, setting PEC Zwolle on course for a 3-1 win over AZ. The forward later sealed the game in the fourth minute of second half stoppage time.
Early on he found the space he wanted in the box, taking Younes Namli's pass and finishing from close range to tilt the contest towards Zwolle.
He kept AZ uneasy throughout, combining busy movement with neat link play. He ended with four attempts, three on target, and seven touches in the penalty area, plus six successful passes in the final third that helped Zwolle sustain attacks.
Deep into stoppage time he settled it, arriving to convert Sherel Floranus' pass (90+4.), underlining a display built on timing and penalty box presence.
Zwolle climb from 13th to 12th in the Eredivisie and visit NEC Nijmegen next. AZ drop from fifth to sixth and host Excelsior next.
How high would you rate Shoretire's performance tonight?
