Maghnes Akliouche levelled in the 62nd minute with a right-footed finish, setting Monaco up to beat Lyon 2-1. The forward then won a penalty that turned the game for Les Rouge et Blanc.
He timed his run through the inside-right channel and finished high into the top right (62.). The movement arrived from a central pocket, where he repeatedly found space to receive on the turn.
Moments later, his burst into the box drew a foul for a Monaco penalty (68.). It was converted to complete the turnaround (72.).
He finished with three attempts, two on target, three key passes and eight touches in the box, numbers that underlined how he linked attacks and constantly threatened between the lines.
Because his positioning between the lines and quick dribbles pulled Les Gones' defenders around, Les Rouge et Blanc controlled the key phases after the restart.
Les Rouge et Blanc host Marseille next. Les Gones visit Angers.
