Noé Lebreton changed it in the 39th minute with a right-footed finish, setting NEC Nijmegen on their way to a 3-0 win over Volendam.
The French midfielder drifted into the centre of the box and guided his shot low into the bottom left, putting NEC in control.
After the restart, he slipped Basar Önal through to strike from range (47.), the pass that doubled the lead and stretched Volendam.
He later forced Kayne van Oevelen into another save from close range (83.). He finished with three shots on target, three key passes and 21 successful final third passes, underlining how he linked play and sustained pressure high up the pitch.
His timing of runs and repeated receptions between the lines kept the visitors pinned back, letting NEC dictate the key phases.
NEC Nijmegen rise from fourth to third in the Eredivisie table. Volendam stay 14th.
