Peretz Daniel sealed it in the ninth minute of second half stoppage time with a reflex save, as Southampton beat Norwich City 1-0. The goalkeeper's stops underpinned a hard-fought clean sheet.
In the eighth minute, Daniel smothered a low strike from distance. Moments later, he diverted another effort around the post (13.). The Saints had their lead soon after, leaving the Canaries chasing.
After the restart, the Israel goalkeeper kept his angles sharp, palming away a skidding attempt from range (56.). He then held a dipping drive (62.) and reacted to block from close quarters (67.) under Canaries pressure.
He finished with seven saves, three from inside the box, plus three punches that relieved pressure, a record that steadied Saints in a frantic finale.
Because the Saints protected the box and Daniel commanded his area on corners late on, Norwich were repeatedly forced to shoot from distance, keeping his sight-lines clear.
The Saints rise from seventh to sixth in the Championship table and host Oxford United next. The Canaries visit Charlton Athletic in their next league fixture.
