Jajá won it in the third minute of second half stoppage time with a right-footed finish, sealing Remo's 2-1 win at Botafogo.
In the 35th minute, Jajá forced Neto into a save from the centre of the box as Fogão struggled to track his runs.
After the restart, he drew another stop from range (51.). He then saw a close-range effort blocked (55.). He was denied again from the right side of the area (61.).
The midfielder's creativity told too. He slipped Alef Manga in for a shot that Neto saved (69.), before finding the decisive space late on for his low winner.
Jajá finished with five attempts, three on target, three chances created and seven possession wins, a blend of threat and work rate that kept Glorioso uncomfortable throughout.
Leão Azul move up to 18th and host Palmeiras next in the league. Fogão face Racing Club next in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana.
