Decisive figure strikes late to lift Volendam

Aurelio Oehlers settled the game in the 87th minute, sweeping in a through ball as Volendam beat PSV 2-1.

Earlier, the forward had a drive blocked from the left after combining with Ozan Can Kokcu (67.), hinting at the space he kept finding.

The Boeren levelled (82.), but he stayed aggressive in transition. Dave Kwakman then released him with a threaded pass and he finished into the centre from the left side of the box (87.).

He ended with two attempts, one on target, and three touches in the box. Off the ball he made two tackles and two clearances, a busy 27-minute cameo that underlined his impact.

Because Volendam broke quickly after turnovers, his direct runs into the channel stretched the Boeren and opened the lane for the late winner.

Volendam rise from 15th to 14th in the table. They visit NAC Breda next. The Boeren host Heerenveen next.
