Casper Tengstedt converted in the second minute of second half stoppage time to give Feyenoord a 1-0 win over Go Ahead Eagles. Introduced at half-time, he became the game's difference-maker.
As normal time expired he won the spot kick, then held his nerve to drive the penalty high, a clinical finish that finally broke determined resistance.
After the restart he had already signalled intent, dragging a left-footed effort wide and soon laying on a close-range chance as his movement stretched the Supereagles' back line.
The Dane ended with three attempts, nine touches in the box and one chance created, plus three recoveries, a neat snapshot of how he kept the hosts playing in the right areas.
With Feyenoord pouring in crosses and corners throughout, his front-post darts and readiness to attack loose balls repeatedly unsettled the visitors until the decisive late moment.
Feyenoord remain second in the Eredivisie and host Telstar next. The Supereagles face Heracles in their upcoming league fixture.
