Tottenham midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has resumed full-team training after suffering a setback in his recovery from a complicated kneecap injury.

Kulusevski last played for Spurs during their 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in May 2025.

His rehabilitation, however, took a minor step back, with Roberto De Zerbi revealing a small issue had prevented him from taking part in training with the rest of the squad ahead of the goalless draw with Nottingham Forest on September 5.

“Kulusevski started [training] with us at the beginning of the week, and then the last two days, a small, small problem, stopped [him from training],” De Zerbi said.

“But I think he’s in a good way. It’s going very well. I already said the medical staff is very high level.

“We can be positive with him. I’m looking forward to having Deki in the squad.”

Tottenham have since released footage from training during the international break as preparations continue for the Premier League showdown against Manchester United on October 10.

Kulusevski took part in the session in question and gave supporters reasons for encouragement as he combined with Mohammed Kudus for one particular attacking drill.

Kulusevski has been included in Spurs’ Premier League squad, meaning he is eligible to face Man United at Old Trafford a week on Saturday, amid reports he could be involved.

That said, it remains to be seen if Tottenham's medical team decide the Sweden international is fit enough to make his first appearance for the club in 17 long months.
