VfB Stuttgart confirmed that Ermedin Demirović has been restored to their Europa League squad for the trip to AS Roma at 21:00 CET this Thursday.

The Swabians notified UEFA so the 27-year-old can replace Nikolas Nartey for the game in the Italian capital.

Demirović was injured in October 2025, after which the Cannstatt club called up Nartey to their Europa League squad.

Nartey featured against Fenerbahce and Go Ahead Eagles, then was an unused substitute against Feyenoord Rotterdam and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

After 60 days, the original injured player is allowed to return to the squad, taking over from the player who had replaced him.

Meanwhile, Bilal El Khannouss is suspended due to yellow card accumulation and will not be available to Sebastian Hoeneß. The Moroccan was booked in the sixth Europa League game against Maccabi Tel Aviv, his third of the competition.
