Hiroki Ito’s future at FC Bayern is apparently open. The Munich club would apparently be prepared to let the Japanese international leave in the summer if a suitable offer came along
For Hiroki Ito, Saturday’s home game against 1. FC Köln could be his last appearance in the Allianz Arena in an FC Bayern shirt
As reported by BILD and tz, those responsible at the record champions are not ruling out the possibility of selling the defensive player in the summer. According to the report, Bayern would be willing to talk to a suitable offer
Particularly interesting: According to tz, Munich’s pain threshold is around 20 million euros
The 27-year-old only moved to FC Bayern from VfB Stuttgart in the summer of 2024, when Munich paid a transfer fee of around €23.5 million for the versatile defender
However, his first year in Munich was difficult, with Ito repeatedly struggling with injuries and missing important parts of the season as a result
Although the Japanese international is now largely available again, he has not really been a regular for Vincent Kompany
Nevertheless, Ito has made 22 competitive appearances for FC Bayern this season
According to the reports, Bayern bosses apparently see this as an opportunity to sell the defender in the summer for a tidy sum

For Ito himself, there is also a big highlight coming up in the summer: the defender has already been nominated for Japan’s World Cup squad and is likely to play an important role at the World Cup
However, two important games with FC Bayern await him before then: after the Bundesliga final against Cologne, the Munich team will play the DFB Cup final against VfB Stuttgart in Berlin
Bayern, on the other hand, missed out on the Champions League final after their semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain
Whether Ito will still be part of the record champions‘ squad in the coming season remains to be seen.
