Deportivo A Coruna have signed Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado on a season-long loan that includes a purchase option. The 22-year-old joins in search of regular first-team minutes.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement contains an option to make the move permanent for €30 million, £26m, $35m, at the end of the campaign.
Casado made 75 senior appearances for Barcelona and arrives with a strong honours list, including two LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and two Supercopas de Espana.
He leaves after slipping behind Rodri, Frenkie de Jong and Marc Bernal in the midfield pecking order. Comfortable as a holding midfielder or right-back, he also has two senior Spain caps and experience across 49 La Liga matches and 19 Champions League ties.
The newly-promoted Galicians sit eighth with five points from three games, and Casado could make his debut on Saturday away to Villarreal in their fourth league outing.
