Díaz, 48, brings an extensive career as a player and manager, and becomes the Aurinegro’s fifth boss since their arrival in Argentina’s second tier.

As a coach he has led Independiente de Avellaneda, Deportes Iquique, Universidad San Martin, Olimpo, Quilmes, Santa Tecla, Jorge Wilstermann, Royal Pari, The Strongest, Deportivo Morón, Cienciano and Atlético Tembatary, with the three Bolivian clubs among them.

The club plan to keep the core of the squad for next season, with around 80 percent of the players who contested both 2025 promotion finals set to continue.

Madryn also confirmed Julián Cosi as their first signing for the 2026 campaign. The wing-back, born in Remedios de Escalada, has played for Nueva Chicago, Villa San Carlos, San Telmo and Ferro Carril Oeste, featuring 27 times last season with one goal and one assist.
