Derby County beat Preston North End 1-0 at Deepdale, with Patrick Agyemang's late header dropping Preston from fourth to sixth in the Championship.

In the 48th minute, Patrick Agyemang fired wide after the restart as Derby upped the tempo, and Rhian Brewster drew a save moments later (50.).

Ben Brereton Díaz tested Jack Walton with a low effort (81.). A minute later, Agyemang glanced in from Brereton Díaz's delivery (82.) to decide the game.

Preston forced late corners but Jordan Storey headed off target from one final set piece (90.).

Derby registered 18 attempts and won 10 corners as their pressure told late on. Preston finished with 13 attempts and five corners in reply.
