Derby County striker Henrik Meister will be sidelined for at least 12 days after suffering a head injury against Birmingham City.
The Pisa loanee was carried off on a stretcher following a lengthy stoppage early in the second half, but was later given the all-clear by Derby’s medical staff and was able to leave the stadium unaided.
Meister will now undergo the required concussion protocols, ruling him out for a minimum of 12 days.
“Henrik’s going through the protocols for concussion, so we’ll wait and see what happens,” Derby boss John Eustace said.
“It was a very disappointing time to lose him. I felt from the start of the second half we had started well.
“It just killed our momentum a little bit, which is a shame.”
