West Brom visit Derby County on Wednesday with James Morrison weighing up changes after a brisk start that has yielded 10 points from 15. Winger Mikey Johnston remains the only senior absentee.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the head coach made four changes for the 1-0 win over Watford and now faces calls at Pride Park. Decisions are live in central defence, midfield and up front.

Chris Mepham impressed after replacing Nat Phillips to help secure the first clean sheet of the season. Morrison highlighted Phillips’ experience and felt Mepham’s link with George Campbell was the right call on the day. Even so, a return for Phillips cannot be ruled out.

Aune Heggebo returned from illness in a 4-4-2, but Morrison is cautious as the striker is not yet at 100 per cent. He said Heggebo had been unwell for a while, cramped after about 70 minutes and might have taken a second-half chance if fully fit, so he will be managed.

A breather could be offered to Heggebo, with the energy of Felix Horn Myhre preferred to bolster midfield, while Isaac Price and Harry Whitwell may be key to ensuring Jimmy-Jay Morgan is not isolated.

New signing Toby Collyer is yet to feature, but a Jayson Molumby recall alongside Ousmane Diakite appears likelier. Predicted XI, 4-4-1-1: Max O’Leary; Nolan Galves, Nat Phillips, George Campbell, Callum Styles; Harry Whitwell, Jayson Molumby, Ousmane Diakite, Isaac Price; Felix Horn Myhre; Jimmy-Jay Morgan. Substitutes: Ingram (gk), Townsend, Mepham, Pereira, Collyer, Nzingoula, Tunde, Stewart, Heggebo.
