DFCO women's first team has been excluded from national competitions next season after a DNCG ruling on Tuesday.

The club said in a statement that it presented the 2026-2027 women's budget and outlined progress in exclusive talks since April with a strategic partner, but that the DNCG judged the guarantees insufficient, and that DFCO now has seven days to appeal.

DFCO finished sixth in the 2025-2026 Première Ligue. In April, the squad warned the team could disappear from the professional game.

The verdict is very negative for the women's side after months of uncertainty around the section’s future.

Bordeaux's men's team has also been excluded from national competitions for next season.
