Diabel Ndoye is attracting the attention of French club Stade Rennais!
A new Senegalese talent is on the radar of French club Stade Rennais, with young attacking midfielder Diabel Ndoye reportedly making a strong impression during a recent trial. According to information from Africafoot, the Senegal U20 international spent two weeks with the Ligue 1 side, and his performances have positioned him as a serious transfer target.
Ndoye, who currently hones his skills at the renowned Darou Salam academy, is said to have captivated the Breton club's decision-makers. Described as an intelligent player with a keen eye for goal, his profile fits the mold of the modern midfielder—elegant, hardworking, and decisive. His goal-scoring prowess was on full display last season, where he found the net nine times for his academy.
The 20-year-old is considered one of the standout products of Darou Salam, an institution that has built a formidable reputation for developing top-tier talent. His potential move to Europe would see him follow in the footsteps of a growing list of academy graduates who have successfully made the leap abroad, including Formose Mendy (Watford), Pape Daouda Diong (RC Strasbourg), and Samba Diallo (Dynamo Kyiv).
It is understood that negotiations are now underway between Stade Rennais and the Dakar-based academy as the French side looks to secure the signature of a player they believe could be a star of the future.
