Fans at La Beaujoire in Nantes paid tribute to Didier Deschamps during France v Côte d'Ivoire, in his penultimate appearance in France.
According to L'Équipe, a large banner in the stands hailed him as an eternal legend tactically and technically, referenced La chatte à DD, and offered thanks.

At the FFF's initiative, placards bearing the head coach's image were handed out and held aloft around the stadium.
From the touchline, Deschamps acknowledged the support with a wave, smiling as he did so.
