France national team manager Didier Deschamps has revealed to TF1 when he’ll announce his squad list for the 2026 World Cup. Les Bleus became the second European nation to qualify for next summer’s international tournament thanks to Thursday’s 4-0 home win against Ukraine, which confirmed that France would win the European Qualifiers’ Group D.

Les Bleus have a final game to play this Sunday against Azerbaijan, which is a dead rubber given France’s opponents are already eliminated. Given the limited stakes, Deschamps has confirmed that he would heavily rotate his side for today. Asked by TF1 regarding his World Cup squad list, Deschamps has lifted the lid over the timeframe of his announcement for what would be his final competition as Les Bleus boss: “It will occur in the second half of May.
